Common questions
How does the AR feature work?
After you map a panel, the app remembers the photo and the position of each breaker on it. Open AR identify and the app uses the iPhone camera to find that same panel in the room. Once it has a fix, your labels float next to the right breakers in the live camera view. It runs on-device — no photo leaves your phone for AR identify.
Can I use it without an internet connection?
Yes. Once a panel is synced to your device, viewing and AR identify work fully offline. New panels and edits sync the next time you have a connection. The QR sharing and web viewer features need the internet because they run from our servers.
What if I have multiple panels?
You can have a main panel and any number of subpanels, generator panels, solar panels, and so on. The free tier covers two panels. If you have more, the $4.99 Homeowner Unlock turns the limit off for good.
Can I share access with an electrician?
Yes. Open the panel, tap Share, and mint a QR code. You can optionally set a 6-digit access code. The electrician scans the QR or types the link into a browser and sees a read-only copy of the panel — no app install, no account required. You can revoke the QR from the app at any time.
What if I lose my account?
Your account is tied to Apple Sign-In or your email. Sign in again on a new device and your panels sync back from the cloud. If you cannot recover the original sign-in, contact support and we will help you regain access after identity checks.
How do I delete my data?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Photos and panel records are removed within 30 days. You can also email support@breakermap.app and we will do it for you.
